Sr. Inspector Mark Pespes is presently detailed at Ongpin Police Detachment, under the Western Police District Command as a footpatrol. He is 29 years and a graduate of Philippine National Police Academy in 1993.

He joined the Special Action Forces of the Philippine Army and he finished the course as number 2 in the overall standing.

He is a native of Tadian Mountain Province and the youngest of seven siblings. His father is the Vice Mayor of Tadian.

In the process of saving an eleven month old child, the daughter of the jewelry shop owner, he was shot in his left leg.
